     TPSL was founded by Dr. George Schultz a biochemist and Soil Scientist. It was then taken by Dr. Al Lengyle a Soil Scientist from Arizona. In 1979, K. Chandler took the lab and added the Plant Tissue testing which he pioneered by petiole testing program.
